User Assistance

The User Assistance page allows non-admin users to reset passwords and failed login attempts for Matrix users. Users can update passwords and attempts by specific dealer, group, or subdealer information as necessary. The following documentation will instruct users on how to manage login information for their company Matrix users.

Users can interact with the Matrix User Assistance table via the available toolbar options. These options are defined below.

OptionFunction
ColumnsAllows users to update what column information will display in the table. See the Column Management documentation for more information on how to update table columns.
RenameAllows users to update the column names as necessary. See the Column Management documentation for more information on how to update table columns.
SavePreserves any table changes (e.g. column layout or name changes) as default so the updated table configuration will display the next time the user views the page. This applies to the user’s personal profile only.
DealersAllows users to update passwords and log in attempts for users based on their assigned dealer. More information on this option can be found below.
Subdealers/GroupsAllows users to update passwords and log in attempts for users based on their assigned group/subdealer. More information on this option can be found below.
Reset Failed Login AttemptsAllows users to reset the number of failed login attempts made by the selected user back to zero. This will allow the selected user to attempt to log in again if they were previously locked out due to too many failed attempts.
Reset PasswordAllows users to update the selected user’s password. More information on resetting passwords can be found below.
ReloadRefreshes the table to display up-to-date information.

Dealers

Selecting Dealers will display the Dealers dialog box. The Dealers table displays all applicable usernames assigned to your existing dealer accounts.

Users can interact with the Dealers table via the available toolbar options. These options and their functions are defined below.

Reset Failed Login AttemptsAllows users to reset the number of failed login attempts made by the selected user back to zero. This will allow the selected user to attempt to log in again if they were previously locked out from too many failed attempts.
Reset PasswordsAllows users to update the selected user’s password. More information on resetting passwords can be found below.
ReloadRefreshes the table to display up-to-date information.

Subdealers/Groups

Selecting Subdealers/Groups will display the Subdealers/Groups dialog box. The Subdealers/Groups table displays all applicable usernames assigned to your existing subdealer/group accounts.

Reset Password

Selecting Reset Password will display the the Reset Password dialog box for the selected user.

Perform the following steps to update the user’s password.

  1. Input the password you would like to assign to the user’s login into the New Password field.
  2. Re-input the New Password into the Confirm Password field.
  3. Select Submit to update the password.
    • If the new password does not meet the listed requirements, the text will color red.
    • If the passwords do not match, a new bullet will appear in the requirements list.

Once all requirements are met, the password will automatically update. The next time the user logs in with the selected username, they will have to use their new password to log in.
