Manual Storm Mode

Manual Storm Mode is where users can set criteria to storm signals currently in pending. The following documentation instructs users on how to storm signals using the available fields and options.
Users can define signal information by populating each field with the desired information or by selecting the Lookup Current Alarms option and selecting alarm information from those currently in pending.
Manual Storm Mode
If preferred, users can define the alarm information fields manually without viewing the alarms currently within pending. These fields and their functions are defined below. Additional information about using the Lookup Current Alarms option can be found below.
Field | Function |
---|---|
Type of Signal | Defines the alarm type (e.g. BURG (E130)) that will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals of the defined type. Users can also select the magnifying glass icon to search for and select a signal type. |
City | Defines the city location of alarms that will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals that originated from the defined city. |
State | Defines the state location of alarms that will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals that originated from the defined state. |
Zipcode | Defines the zip code location of alarms that will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals that originated from the defined zip code. |
Dealer | Defines the dealer account of subscribers whose alarms will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals that originated from subscribers assigned to the defined dealer. |
Com/Res | Defines the property type of subscribers whose alarms will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals that originated from subscribers assigned to the defined type. |
Priority | Defines the urgency level of alarms that will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals assigned to the defined priority. |
Area Assigned | Defines the site area of alarms that will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals that originated from the defined area. |
Store Number | Defines the store number of subscribers whose alarms will be stormed. When selected, the system will storm all pending signals that originated from subscribers assigned to the defined store number. |
Rec. Signals Time Frame | Defines the time frame within which alarms were received. Once defined, the system will storm all signals that were received within the selected time frame. |
Storm Message | Allows users to assign a message to stormed alarms. This message will appear in history. |
Lookup Current Alarms
Selecting Lookup Current Alarms will display the Pending Alarms table.
Users can populate the Manual Storm Mode fields with selected alarm information via the available button options. These options are defined below.
Option | Function |

Type | Populates the Type of signal field with the selected alarm’s assigned alarm type. |
Area | Populates the Area Assigned field with the selected alarm’s assigned area. |
City | Populates the City field with the selected alarm’s assigned city. |
State | Populates the State field with the selected alarm’s assigned state. |
Zipcode | Populates the Zipcode field with the selected alarm’s assigned zip code. |
Dealer | Populates the Dealer field with the selected alarm’s assigned dealer. |
Com Res | Populates the Com/Res field with the selected alarm’s assigned property type. |
Priority | Populates the Priority field with the selected alarm’s assigned priority. |
Once the above information is defined, users can select additional requirements the system should take into account when storming signals meeting the defined criteria. These options are defined below.
Option | Function |

Only storm signals if a passcode has been verified | Determines if a passcode verification is required for a signal to be stormed. If selected, only signals with verified passcodes will be stormed. |
Only storm signals if a reset has been received | Determines how reset signals are handled by the system when stormed. If selected, signals matching the above defined criteria will only be stormed if their corresponding reset signal was received. |
Clear signals from hold | Determines if signals in the hold queue are also stormed. If selected, signals placed on hold matching the above defined criteria will be stormed. |
Clear outbound voice signals | Determines if outbound voice signals will also be stormed. If selected, outbound voice signals matching the above defined criteria will be stormed. |
Select Storm Signals to system handle all pending signals meeting the selected criteria.
