Add NVR

Users can assign NVR connected streams to subscribers via the Add NVR option within Camera Setup. This option allows users to add all NVR connected camera streams at once, eliminating the need for manual stream data entry.

This documentation instructs users on how to use this option to add NVR streams. For general information on Camera Setup, see the Camera Setup Introduction documentation.

Selecting Add NVR will display the Add NVR dialog box. Users will define the NVR streams by populating the NVRs identifying information.

Perform the following steps to add NVR streams.

1. Input the IP address or domain name the NVR is connected to into the IP Address/FQDN field.
   • The IP Address or FQDN input into this field must be visible to DICE for the system to properly communicate with the device.
2. Input the RTSP port the NVR is connected to into the Port field.
   • The port is typically listed within the NVR’s browser interface. The default RTSP port is 554.
3. Select Next.
   • This will display the next steps in the process.
4. Input the username used to log in to the NVR into the Username field.
5. Input the password used to log in to the NVR into the Password field.
6. Select the brand of the NVR from the NVR Type dropdown.
7. Select how many cameras are connected to the NVR (or the number of streams you’d like to add) from the Number of Channels dropdown.
8. Select Next.
   • This will display the next steps in the process.
9. Select all streams you wish to add from those available.
10. Input the desired stream descriptions into the Channel fields.
11. Select Add Selected Streams to complete adding the NVR’s cameras.
