Calipsa Account and Camera Setup
On this page
This documentation instructs users on how to configure their Calipsa accounts to report to DICE automation for alarming purposes. This documentation is intended for clients switching to DICE automation. Users will be instructed on how to configure cameras on an account-by-account basis in order to facilitate a smooth transition off their existing automation. See the Add Stream documentation for instructions on how to data enter cameras within Matrix.
Individual Account Migration
Users can configure individual accounts and cameras on their Calipsa environment to send to DICE automation. Configuring a single account confirms DICE automation is working correctly prior to performing a hard cut or a conversion on all accounts and their connected devices.
This section instructs users on how to update a single account to send to DICE. Before proceeding to the following setup instructions, log in to your Calipsa account and the client’s Camera Setup profile within Matrix.
Perform the following steps to configure a single account and its connected devices to send to DICE automation.
- Select the Clients option located on the left-hand sidebar menu.
- Select the client you wish to configure from those available.
- Select the site you wish to configure from those available under the client.
- Select Edit from the Configuration section.
- Expand the Monitoring Station SMTP section.
- Input the Server address generated under one of the site’s streams’ SMTP Settings into the Host/IP field.
- NOTE: Once a client’s Host/IP is updated, all connected cameras will cease to send to your existing automation. Proceed to the following steps to update the site cameras’ SMTP information.
- See the Stream Management documentation for more information on camera SMTP settings.
- Input the Server Port number generated under one of the site’s streams’ SMTP Settings into the HTTP Port field.
- Select Save to complete updating the site’s SMTP information.
- Select the site camera you would like to configure from those available under the site.
- Select Edit from the Configuration section.
- Input the Recipient address generated under the applicable stream’s SMTP Settings into the Notification email field.
- Select Save to complete updating the camera’s SMTP information.
- Repeat steps 9-12 for all applicable cameras you wish to configure on the site.
Repeat the above steps for all sites as necessary. Once complete, the assigned cameras will be properly configured to send to DICE automation.
Please note, only the sites updated using the above instructions will be configured to send to DICE. All other accounts on your Calipsa environment will continue sending to your existing automation solution as necessary.
