Tab Setup

The Tab Setup page provides users with simple tools to customize the layout and options located across all Matrix pages. Users can specify which tabs/views are seen by specific groups or profiles so technicians, operators, and other personnel do not see options or information that they do not/should not interact with.
When initially viewing the Tab Setup page, users are prompted to select which Matrix page should be managed.
Perform the following steps to open the desired Matrix Page’s Tab Setup page.
- Select Tab Setup from the available Matrix menu options.
- Select the Matrix Page you would like to edit from the Page drop-down.
- Select the user profile the changes will be applied to from the Profile drop-down.
The selected profile’s current options will display.
All available tabs are listed under Options. If a tab is already selected to display on the selected profile, a checkmark will display next to that tab’s name. If a tab is not selected to display on the selected profile, a circle with a diagonal slash in its center will appear next to that tab’s name.
Users can edit the order of tabs via dragging and dropping tabs as necessary under Preview.
Perform the following steps to add tabs to the selected profile’s view.
- Select the tab you would like to add from the Options list.
- If applicable, update the tab’s title.
- Select the Active checkbox to add the tab to the selected profile.
- Select the Pre-Load checkbox to automatically pull all account information applicable to the tab when the tab is selected.
- Select Save.
The added tab will now be available for use when users sign in under the selected profile. Notice the added tab will now have a checkmark next to its name in the Options window.
Perform the following steps to remove a tab from the profile’s view.
- Select the tab you would like to remove from the Options list.
- De-select the Active checkbox.
- Select Save.
The tab will now be removed from the selected profile’s view. Notice the tab name will now have a circle with a line through it in the Options list.
Repeat the above steps for Adding and Removing tabs for each available page in Matrix as desired.
After reviewing placement and available tabs, select Save under Select Page to preserve the changes made to the selected profile.
Matrix Aware Tab Setup
When adding and removing views on the Matrix Aware page the Edit Options dialog box is slightly different.
Perform the following steps to configure views in Matrix Aware.
- Select Aware from the Page drop-down.
- Select the user profile the changes will be applied to from the Profile drop-down.
The selected profile’s current options will display.
Users can interact with the available options similarly to tabs within other Matrix pages (checkmark means the option is visible, drag and dropping information, etc.)
Perform the following steps to add options to the selected profile’s view.
- Select the information you would like to add from the Options list.
- If applicable, update the view’s title.
- Select the appropriate width percentage from the Width drop-down. This regulates how wide the view’s window is relative to the user’s Matrix window. Confirm all views spanning the width of the window add up to 100%. If they do not they will not display properly.
- Input the desired window height, in pixels, into the Height text field. This determines how many pixels the information window will take up from top to bottom.
- Select the amount of time that will elapse before the information refreshes from the Refresh Rate drop-down.
- Select the Active checkbox to add the view to the selected profile.
- Select the Pre-Load checkbox to checkbox to automatically pull all account information applicable to the view.
- Select Save.
After reviewing the placement of the added view select Save located under Select Page.
