Include/Exclude Lists

Include/Exclude lists are lists of information (alarm signals, Zones, Areas, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from reports. Users can typically interact with available lists via the three button options. These options are defined below.

OptionFunction
NewAllows users to create additional lists. More information on adding lists can be found below.
EditAllows users to update existing lists.
ExamineDisplays the Examine List dialog box that shows users how the selected list is currently configured. More information on examining lists can be found below.

New

Selecting New will display the Include/Exclude List dialog box.

Perform the following steps to create a list.

  1. Input a short identifier for the list into the Name field.
  2. Input a brief explanation of the list into the Description field.
  3. Select the desired list Category from the available dropdown.
    • Each category will have a corresponding include and exclude category. The categories are defined in more detail below.
  4. Once a category is selected, the available types will display. image
  5. Select all desired types that should be either included or excluded when the list is assigned.
  6. Select Save to complete the list.
  7. Repeat the above steps as necessary to create additional lists.

Once created and assigned, the fax/email reports will include or exclude information as defined.

Categories

List CategoryDefinition
Alarm TypeAllows users to define specific alarms (LTO, BURG, CLOSE, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
OperatorAllowed users to define specific operator codes (the personnel responsible for handling alarms on your system) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Alarm CategoryAllows users to define broad alarm types (System generated events, reset alarms, open alarms, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Alarm ResolutionAllows users to define resolution actions (SMS Notified, Actual Alarm, False Alarm, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Type of Alarm ResolutionDetermines the broad alarm types (Actual alarm, false alarm, service related, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
AreaDetermines the site’s area locations that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Please Note: The subscriber must be properly configured to use areas for this option to function properly. The subscriber must be set to Use Areas (Under the Subscriber tab) and areas must be added (Under the Zones tab).
PriorityDetermines the system assigned alarm priority (a, A, C, !, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
AM NotifyDetermines if the report will send depending on if an AM Notify was sent on the account.
TextDetermines any textual information (ZONES, AREA, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
ZoneDetermines the site’s zone locations that should be either included or excluded from the report.
UserDetermines any user IDs that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Chart CodeDetermines any alarm codes (E130, E106, E137, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
CityDetermines any city locations (Bay City, Boston, Detroit, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
StateDetermines any US state locations (Michigan, Kansas, Iowa, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
ZipcodeDetermines any postal code locations (48706, 48625, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Commercial/ResidentialDetermines if either commercial or residential customers will be either included or excluded from the report.
Active AccountsDetermines if active and/or inactive accounts will be either included or excluded from the report.
SublistDetermines any sublists of information that should be either included or excluded from the report.
DealerDetermines which dealer accounts that should be either included or excluded from the report.
UL GradeDetermines the UL alarm types that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Time ZoneDetermines any time zone locations (EST, CST, AST, etc.) that should be either included or excluded from the report.
Account NumberDetermines any specific subscriber accounts that should be either included or excluded from the report.
