The Other tab is used to manage additional features and functions for customizing the dealer. Various miscellaneous access flags and notification settings are configured within this tab.
Fax/Email
The Fax/Email sub-tab is used to customize settings for reports sent via fax and email.
This tab can also be used to set up batch reports for the following types of reports:
- All Activity
- Open/Close
- Dispatch
Fax/Email Entry
Fax/Email Entry is used to manage dealer-level settings for faxing and emailing reports. The available options are defined below.
Fax/Email Options
The Fax/Email Options section is used to determine various report setup options and notify lists.

Fax alarms to dealers after operator logs them | Determines if the dealer is automatically faxed a summary of the signal when an operator logs it. |

LTT notify list | Use the magnifying glass to look up and select a notify list for Late-to-Test faxes and emails. |

Fax/Email on weekends | Determines if the dealer is allowed to receive faxes and/or emails on the weekends. |

Late to Test Times
The Late to Test Times section is used to determine the time each day dealers receive LTT reports.
Input the applicable time (in 24-hour format) in each day field to set the time the dealer will receive LTT reports for their accounts.
The additional options are defined below.

Batch Report Autofax Email Entry
Batch Report Autofax Email Entry is used to manage delivery of automatic emailed batch reports. Batch reports are sent out to a specified email list at a specified time. The available batch report options are defined below.
All Activity
The All Activity section allows you to decide whether or not all the activity on an account is emailed or faxed to subscribers or dealers. All Activity reports are those that contain all the activity that occurred on an account (unless otherwise specified via an include/exclude list).

Open/Close
The Open/Close section allows you to decide details and recipients of the Open/Close Report. Open/Close reports are those that contain all open and close signals received on an account (unless otherwise specified via an include/exclude list). The available options are defined below.

Dispatch
The Dispatch section allows you to decide details and recipients of the Dispatch Report. Dispatch reports are those that contain only signals where the operator dispatched the relevant authorities (unless otherwise specified via an include/exclude list). The available options are defined below.

Fax/Email Controls
The Fax/Email Controls section is used to configure various settings for reporting via fax or email. The available options are defined below.

Which Day Each Month | If the reports are emailed monthly, the day of the month those reports are emailed or faxed. Valid entries include 1-28. |
Which Day Each Week | If the reports are emailed weekly, the day of the week those reports are emailed. |

Fax Reports | Determines if reports will be faxed to contacts. |
Fax a Banner With Reports | Determines if reports will include a banner or cover page. |
After making changes to Batch Report Autofax Email Entry, select Save All in the bottom right corner to preserve your changes.
Auto Email
Auto Email is used to determine criteria for automatically emailing three kinds of reports: All Activity Report, Email Dispatch Report, and the Open/Close Report. Users can configure auto-email criteria via the available options. These options are defined below.

Compress Signals | Determines the compression format of signals. Y: Yes, compress signals. N: No, do not compress signals. |
Print Operators | Determines if applicable operator codes are included on the report. Y: Yes, include operator codes. N: No, do not include operator codes. |
Print if no Activity | Determines if the report is still emailed if an account experienced no activity. Y: Yes, still email report if there is no activity. N: No, do not email report if there is no activity. |
Select Save All to save the applied auto-email settings to the selected report.
The created report will be available in the Report Option drop-down after saving your selected options.
To update the report type, select it from the drop-down again to populate the fields and update all applicable information as needed.
Event Description
The Event Description sub-tab is used to override existing descriptions for system-generated signals. Users can interact with the Event Description table via the available toolbar options. These options are defined below.

Adding Event Descriptions
Selecting Add will display the User Definable Scheduled Event Table dialog box. Users can create event description overrides via the available options. These options are defined below.

Text | Determines the information that will accompany the alarm. Use the codes to the right to force the text to reference specific variables in the signal. |
User | Determines the username of the individual who created the override. |
Area | Determines the area that will be referenced on the event type. |
Priority | Determines the event’s default priority level. |
Alarm Type | Determines the applicable alarm code that will be referenced on the event type. Users can select the magnifying glass icon to search for and select an alarm type as necessary. |
Call List | Determines the applicable call list code that will be referenced on the event type. Users can select the magnifying glass icon to search for and select a call list as necessary. |
Signal Requires | Determines how the signal will be handled. O: Operator Handled. Signals are sent to an operator unless they are a scheduled event received within the valid window. S: System Handled. Signals are handled automatically by the system. P: Passcode. Signals are handled by an operator and can’t be logged until a valid passcode is entered. T: Ticket. Signals are not sent to an operator for handling, and a service ticket is printed. |
Outbound Email List | Determines the contact list that will receive emails regarding the selected event type. Users can select the magnifying glass icon to search for and select an email list as necessary. |
Select Save to complete setup of the event type override.
AM Notify
The AM Notify sub-tab is used to configure automated reports sent via email or fax. An AM Notify is not a type of report, but is instead used to send reports to dealers, subscribers, or centrals. By default, if an AM notify report fails to be sent, an AMNOTIFY signal is generated. Users can interact with the AM Notify table via the available toolbar options. These options are defined below.

Adding AM Notifies
Selecting Add will display the Add AM Notify Information dialog box. Users can create AM Notify lists via the available options. These options are defined below.
Details Tab
The Details tab provides access to general AM Notify information. The available fields are defined below.

Additional Setup Tab
The Additional Setup tab provides access to miscellaneous/advanced setup options for the AM Notify.

Comma delimited report | Determines if the report will print in CSV format. The details will appear in the following order: Account Number, Company Name, Identifier 2, Signal Date, Signal Time, Alarm Type, and the first 50 characters of History. |
Times to Notify
The Times to Notify section determines the time the report is sent out to contacts. Input a time in 24-hour format for each day the AM notify report is to be sent out.
Fax Info
The Fax Info section determines the facsimile settings for the AM Notify if applicable.

Select Save All to save the AM Notify’s settings and add it to the list of existing AM Notify reports.
AM Notify call lists are used for AMNOTIFY signals. Depending on your settings, an AMNOTIFY signal can be generated when an AM Notify report fails to send or every time an AM notify report is sent. Signals require call lists, and if an AM notify report fails to send, the call list is used to contact the customer about the failure. Use the Edit On Call option to create a call list specifically for the AMNOTIFY signal. If you do not create a call list for your AMNOTIFY signals, the system will use the DEFAULT call list.
False Alarm Entry
The False Alarm Entry sub-tab is used to manage the number of times an alarm signal resolution can be received in a specific number of days before Monitoring notifies the operator that the account has exceeded the allowed number of occurrences.
The number of occurrences allowed for a given resolution type are defined in a group. These groups can be applied to multiple accounts, applying the same allowance of alarm resolution occurrences on each account it is applied to.
Users can interact with the False Alarm Entry table via the available toolbar options. These options are defined below.

Adding False Alarm Profiles
Selecting Add will display the Group Options dialog box. These groups are configured in CORE.
Select the group you wish to add and select Add to False Alarm Entry from the toolbar options. The selected group will appear in the False Alarm Entry table.
Setting Up Group Resolutions
Selecting Resolution will display the Resolutions dialog box for the selected group. Users can interact with the Resolutions table via the available toolbar options. These options are defined below.

Adding Resolution Codes
Selecting Add will display the Available Alarm Resolutions dialog box.
Select the desired resolution code from the drop down and select Save to apply it to the group.
The Number of Occurrences and Days to Go Back fields will automatically populate with the group’s assigned parameters. These fields are described below.

Days to Go Back | The number of days to elapse before the number of occurrences counter will reset. |
Users can select a resolution and then select Edit from the toolbar options to update the Number of Occurrences and Days to Go Back on individual resolutions.
Log Duplicate Signal Timer
The Log Duplicate Signal Timer sub-tab is used to define the amount of time the system waits to automatically log a duplicate signal. For example, if multiple FIRE signals are received, the system will wait the amount of minutes input in this tab prior to system handling the duplicate signal.
Input the number of minutes the system will wait after receiving a duplicate alarm to system handle it into the Enter the timer in minutes field and select Save.
Contact Defaults
The Contact Defaults sub-tab is used to set the default contact rights on any new contact created on new accounts under the dealer. Rights decide the contact’s authority. Many of these rights grant the contact access to various parts of Matrix, allowing the operator to make changes for them. The available rights are described below.

Access Alarm History | Grants the contact access to alarm history for their account. |
Access Special Instructions and Permanent Notes | Grants the contact access to special instructions and permanent notes. |
Access AR Customer Inquiry Information | Grants the contact access to Accounts Receivable customer inquiry information. |
View/Change Contacts | Allows the contact to view/change account contacts. |
Access/Change Temporary Notes | Grants the contact access to create and change temporary notes. |
Access Panel Information | Grants the contact access to panel information in Caller Assistance. |
Access Account/Subscriber Information | Grants the contact access to account/subscriber information. |
Access/Request Paging Functions | Grants the contact access to and ability to request changes to paging functions. |
Access Zone/Signal Information | Grants the contact access to zone and signal information. |
Access Grouped Account Information | Grants access to grouped account information. |
Access/Change Temp Passcodes | Grants access and ability to change temporary passcodes. |
Log Messages to History | Allows the contact to add messages to existing history events and create a separate message in history. |
Access All Data Entry | Grants access to make changes to subscriber zones, open/close schedules, holiday/future schedules, or special instruction information. |
Access Through eLink | Grants the customer access to their account through eLink and Residential Portal. |
Subscriber Defaults
The Subscriber Defaults sub-tab is used to set the default subscriber information on any new account created under the dealer. When creating new accounts under this dealer, the following information will automatically populate for data entry users to streamline data entry time. Users can update the information available here as necessary. The available fields are defined below.
General
The General section is used to determine universal information such as address and miscellaneous note details. The available fields are defined below.

Company Name | Determines the primary name of the subscriber. Typically for commercial customers, the business name. |
Sort By | If applicable, input an additional name for the subscriber into this field. This allows users to apply an alternate name to the subscriber to more easily identify them in alphabetical look-ups. |
Address | The subscriber’s street number, direction, and name. |
Additional Address | If applicable, any additional address information such as apartment or suite number. |
City | The subscriber’s city. |
State | The subscriber’s state. |
ZIP | The subscriber’s postal code. |
Country | The subscriber’s country. |
Cross Street | If applicable, the street name of a street or road that crosses the subscriber’s address street. |
Time Zone | The time zone the subscriber is located in. |
Misc Info 1 | Any identifying information that should be noted on the subscriber. |
Misc Info 2 | Any identifying information that should be noted on the subscriber. |
Other
The Other section is used to define any miscellaneous identifier information on subscribers. The available fields are defined below.

Supervise Schedule | Determines the supervision protocol for scheduled events. A: All scheduled signals will be operator handled. N: All open/close signals will be system handled. Y: The system supervises scheduled events and generates the proper unscheduled, late to, and LATE alarm signals for operator handling. I: System will follow determined schedule parameters except all scheduled signals received from valid user IDs will be system handled. The “Require specific ID to open/close” flag on Processing Options Setup #2 must be set to ‘Y’ for this feature to work. U: Only signals received from invalid user IDs will be sent to operators for handling. F: Only late-to signals will be sent to operators for handling. V: All signals will be system handled. O: Only process open events, system handle all closes. C: Only process close events, system handle all opens. P: Honor the schedule and require pin codes for validated users. |

Use Wildcards | Determines if the wildcard character @ can be used when defining zone/signal codes for the subscriber. |
Sales Rep Group | Determines the group assigned to the sales rep who sold product to the subscriber. |
Force Note Captcha | Determines if operators receiving alarms from this subscriber will be required to input a Captcha code for verification. |

Custom Account | If selected, a dialog box will display to notify operators that the account is custom. |

Map | Determines the map ID that should be used to identify the subscriber’s location. X: If a map is being used, this field determines the subscriber’s x-axis location. Y: If a map is being used, this field determines the subscriber’s y-axis location. |
Account Test How Often | Determines the amount of time expected to elapse between test signals. H: Hourly. If this option is selected, the user will be prompted to input the amount of time expected to elapse between test signals. This provides additional flexibility than the following options. More information on the available options can be found below. D: Daily, one test signal is expected every 24 hours. W: Weekly, one test signal is expected every 7 days. M: Monthly, one test signal is expected every 28 days. Q: Quarterly, one test signal is expected every 90 days. N: None, no test signals will be generated by the subscriber. |
Hourly Test
If Hourly is selected from the Account Test How Often drop down, users will have access to this section to determine the amount of time to elapse between test signals. The available options are defined below.
