Dealer Notify Lists

The Notify Lists tab is used to manage email addresses used to contact specific groups of people regarding defined alarm events. Notify lists can also be used to page contacts if the individual contact has paging enabled in their Contact Details. Users can interact with the Notify Lists table via the available toolbar options. These options are defined below.

Edit Paging | Allows users to configure paging messaging details. More information on editing paging can be found below. |
Add | Allows users to create a new email list. More information on adding lists can be found below. |
Edit | Allows users to update existing email lists. |
Delete | Removes the selected email list from the table. |
Reload | Refreshes the table to display up-to-date information. |
Add Notify List
Selecting Add from the toolbar options will open the Add Notify List dialog box.
Perform the following steps to add a new notify list to the dealer.
- Input the desired list identifier into the List Name field.
- List names can be a maximum of 5 alphanumeric characters long.
- Input a brief explanation of the list into the List Description field.
- Input the desired message text into the Default Subject field.
- If any emails are sent using this list, this is the subject that will be used.
- Input the name that should be assigned to any files attached to emails into the Default File Name field.

- Select Save to complete creating the list.
Edit Paging
Selecting Edit Paging will display the Edit Paging Options dialog box for the selected list. Users can determine the content of received pages for contacts setup for paging notifications. See the Dealer Contacts documentation for more information on managing paging parameters on contacts.
Perform the following steps to update paging information on the list.
- Input the intended message contacts should receive into the Alpha Message field.
- This field is intended for all pager types except those labeled Numeric when configuring contact paging settings.
- Input the intended message contacts should receive into the Numeric Message field.
- This field is intended for Numeric pager types only.
- This field accepts tags. Tags are used in our software to reference a specific variable. A list of acceptable tags and their variables within the software is listed below.
- Select Save to complete adding paging messages to the list.
Email Lists
Selecting Email List will display the Notify List dialog box for the selected list.
Perform the following steps to add contact email addresses to the list.
- Select the desired contact from those available.
- Once selected, the Action field will update with how the contact will be added to the email. The available actions are defined below.
- To: Default action used to send the email directly to the selected email. Typically, the main individual you are sending the email to.
- Cc: Carbon Copy, used for any additional individuals who should receive the email for reference or general knowledge.
- Bcc: Blind Carbon Copy, used for any additional individuals whose inclusion should be hidden from the other individuals included on the email.
- Pg: Page, if applicable, selecting available numbers from this table will set them up to receive notifications via page.
- Once selected, the Action field will update with how the contact will be added to the email. The available actions are defined below.
- Select all contacts from the list as necessary.
- Exit the dialog box to complete saving the list.
Note: The created email list should be applied to the desired Notify by Zone Type profile within the Zones tab. See the Dealer Zones documentation for more information on managing zones.
