Dealer Contacts

The Contact tab within Dealer Maintenance allows users to manage the contact information for dealer-specific employees/contacts. The following documentation instructs users on how to create and manage dealer contact information.

The Contacts table displays all existing contact profiles assigned to the dealer. Users can interact with the Contacts table via the available toolbar options. These options and their functions are defined below.

OptionFunction
ColumnsAllows users to update what column information will display in the table. See the Column Management documentation for more information on how to update table columns.
RenameAllows users to update the column names as necessary. See the Column Management documentation for more information on how to update table columns.
SavePreserves any table changes (e.g. column layout or name changes) as default so the updated table configuration will display the next time the user views the page. This option applies to the user’s personal profile only.
CallAutomatically dials the selected contact’s main phone number as long as your call system has been integrated with DICE. This can be used to call the contact similarly to how Autodial calls a contact in Monitoring.
ReorderAllows the user to drag and drop contacts within the table into an alternate order. More information on reordering contacts can be found below.
More NumbersAllows users to add additional phone numbers to the selected contact’s profile. More information on adding numbers can be found below.
Insert NewAllows the user to add a new contact profile immediately after the selected contact in the list. The options available when selecting Insert New from the toolbar are the same options available when selecting Add. Dealer contacts are data entered using the same options available when creating subscriber contacts. See the Data Entry Add Contacts documentation for detailed instructions on creating contact profiles.
Delete AllRemoves all contacts from the dealer.
Reset Web AttemptIf a user is locked out of Residential Portal selecting this option resets the number of log in attempts they have.
SMS NotifyAllows users to toggle whether or not the contact is opted in for SMS messages from the system.
AddAllows users to create new contact profiles. Dealer contacts are data entered using the same options available when creating subscriber contacts. See the Data Entry Add Contacts documentation for detailed instructions on creating contact profiles.
EditAllows users to update an existing contact’s profile.
DeleteRemoves the selected contact from the table.
ReloadRefreshes the table to display up-to-date information.

Reorder

Selecting Reorder will display the Reorder Contacts dialog box.

Users can interact with the Reorder Contacts table via the available toolbar options. These options and their functions are defined below.

ReloadRefreshes the table to display up-to-date information.

Perform the following steps to update the contact listing order.

  1. Drag and drop the contacts into the desired order.
  2. Select Save to preserve the new order.

More Numbers

Selecting More Numbers will display the Add More Numbers dialog box for the selected contact. The Contact Name field is read-only and cannot be updated.

Perform the following steps to add an additional contact number to the contact.

  1. Input the number that needs to be added to the contact into the Phone Number field.
  2. If applicable, input the extension number used to reach the contact into the Phone Extension field.
  3. Input any miscellaneous information regarding this number into the Personal Information field (e.g. Personal Cell or Home Phone etc.).
  4. Select the appropriate masking that should be applied to the phone number from the Phone Number Format drop-down.
  5. Select Save & Close to save the new number to the contact and return to the Contacts table.
    • Select Save & Add More to save the new number and begin adding another. Repeat steps 1-5 for the additional number as necessary.
